Make up lessons will be available on Friday afternoons at Menlo, Saturday mornings at South Bay Polo Club or at the Horse Park Polo Club on Tuesday evening.
We have plenty of opportunities for you to play more. We are available for lessons every day except Monday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays we are at the Horse Park in Woodside, Thursdays and Saturdays we are at South Bay Polo in Gilroy and Fridays and Sundays we are at our home club, Menlo Polo Club. Additional fees will apply. See the next question.
Private Lessons are $150/hr including the horse.
Horse Leasing for chukkers: $150/chukker.
Menlo Polo Club Membership is required.
Average price of a well trained polo pony: $15,000-$25,000
Average local cost to maintain a polo pony : $1,100 per month when playing and $400 per month when resting between seasons.
The answer to this largely depends on how hard you are asking the horse to play. In the 0 goal and Academy Levels you can usually play your horse 2 chukkers each day (maximum of 3 days per week). As you move up and improve your playing ability, you’ll want to have a fresh horse for each chukker. Most Menlo members have 1 to 3 horses.
